da aposte e ganhe: Liverpool are on the march towards their first Premier League title in 30 years.
There is a long way to go, of course, but after 12 games, things are looking pretty good for Jurgen Klopp and co. They currently lead the division by eight points, with main title rivals Manchester City a further point back.
They have a pretty settled team as it stands, but with the January transfer window around the corner, they may look to add to their squad if the right man becomes available. That person will not be Zlatan Ibrahimovic, though.
Klopp recently said that had he not played for rivals Manchester United, they might have considered him, but his link with the Red Devils takes him off the table.

The 116-time former Sweden international is a fantastic goalscorer, even at the age of 38. He recently left MLS side LA Galaxy after scoring 53 goals in 58 games, and he is now looking for another club. The striker is outspoken, but there is no doubting his goalscoring record – according to Transfermarkt, he has an astonishing 456 goals in 751 club appearances.
Arguments can be made as to whether he would disrupt the team’s morale, and in the end, they may not need him. But the reason behind Liverpool’s apparent lack of interest is just petty.
Why does it matter who he has played for in the past? He is clearly a top-class striker and his ability would benefit any side in the world on the field. Considering the position the Reds are in – they are already 18 points ahead of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side after just 12 games – they do not need to worry about United at all.
Anyway, it is not as though he is a legend at Old Trafford. He made just 53 appearances in all competitions before moving to the USA.
“Hated, adored, but never ignored”. This is a phrase that United fans often use to show that they are always in football fans’ minds even when not performing at their best. In this case, it would be adept to use. There may be plenty of reasons why Liverpool should not make a move for Ibrahimovic, but the fact he played for their rivals is not one of them.
