da wazamba: Loads of Sunderland fans have been discussing the emergence of young left back Denver Hume, and 56 per cent of fans think it’s time to cash in on Bryan Oviedo.
Oviedo seemed vital to Sunderland’s promotion plans at the start of the season, as the popular 28-year-old is a class above most of the players in League One.
The 46-cap Costa Rica international has played 51 league games for Sunderland, and has proven very popular on Wearside due to his bombing runs down the left flank and excellent delivery.

Reece James has looked an excellent addition since signing in the summer though, and Hume has also emerged as a serious contender for that left-back spot.
Given that the Black Cats are now without their main goalscorer in Charlie Wyke, selling Oviedo in January could free up funds to invest in more important positions.
None of the centre-back signings have really stood out so far, and Jack Ross simply doesn’t need three options at left-back.
The slight majority of fans think they should sell Oviedo and trust James and Hume, and you can find the full poll results down below…
