da 888casino: It’s funny how all the money in the Premier League these days doesn’t always mean that clubs can buy their way to success.
da aviator aposta: Tottenham Hotspur stand out as a club who buck the trend: after appointing Mauricio Pochettino, they’ve slid up on the rails. From an almost-perennial Europa League side, they’ve become title contenders and a team who can beat Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund to top spot in a Champions League group.
They’ve spent their fair share of cash, though. But the funny thing is that, despite more than most Premier League sides, it’s been Spurs’ bargains who have had the biggest impact. A wonderful academy system has lavished the likes of Harry Kane and now Harry Winks on the north London side, whilst good scouting has allowed Pochettino to find talent like Dele Alli hiding out in the lower leagues for free. The money spent on the likes of Moussa Sissoko and Vincent Janssen, however, hasn’t provided too much of a return.
Former boss Harry Redknapp is certainly impressed, though. Known for his canniness in the transfer market, the former Tottenham and West Ham manager can’t see where he’d even make a signing to improve Pochettino’s side. To say there are no weaknesses at all is high praise indeed from a former manager, and especially one with such an eye for a player as Redknapp.
