da pixbet: According to research from bettingexpert.com, axes could start getting seriously wielded in the Premier League as the winter months approach.
da cassino: That is because in the history of the Premier League, over 30% of all sackings have taken place in November and December – with a distinct lack of festive cheer amongst the top flight clubs.
And, with only Swansea City changing their manager so far this season, we should see a few more dismissals over the coming weeks.
Currently, Sunderland manager David Moyes is the favourite to get the chop in the Premier League with odds of 11/8 and his Black Cats side firmly in the relegation zone after one win from eleven matches.
And his chances of staying aren’t helped by the fact that the club have got rid of their managers at this time in the season before – Roy Keane in 2008 and Steve Bruce in 2011.
As this infographic shows, Moyes could soon be gone, whilst a number of other Premier League bosses need to be wary at this time of the year.
Ahead of a potentially precarious time for the men in the Premier League’s dugouts, Henrik Lykkesteen from bettingexpert has offered his views on what could be about to play out:
“With the season a couple of months in and plenty of time for damage to be done, November and December are traditionally the times chairman are at their twitchiest.
“A change at the top in time for the January transfer window can help a team out of trouble, with plenty of time for the new boss to save a side’s season.
“Any managers given the boot this month won’t have to worry too much – there should be a few more vacancies opening up in the Premier League soon.”
