da bwin: Arsene Wenger is finally ready to flex his financial muscles in a bid to ease the crisis at Arsenal, the Mirror reports.
da marjack bet: Defeat to Liverpool on Saturday has finally spurred the Frenchman into spending big to strengthen his squad after a summer of frustration at the Emirates.
The Gunners boss has already seen Cesc Fabregas leave for Barcelona and still expects Samir Nasri to join Manchester City leaving huge gaps in the team but also an embarassment of riches to spend.
Bids have been lodged for Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila and Lille forward Eden Hazard whilst offers for Phil Jagielka, Gary Cahill, Scott Dann and Per Mertesacker are also being considered.
Landing Hazard, in particular, would provide a huge boost as he is a like-for-like replacement for Nasri and Wenger could Lille’s resolve to keep on of Europes top prospects a big money bid.
He also sees France international M’Vila as the holding midfielder who will add strength to the middle whilst complimenting the elegance of Jack Wilshere although Rennes aren’t willing to sell.
The biggest decision Wenger faces is choosing which centre half he should pursue. Jagielka is his number one target but has seen numerous bids turned down from Everton.
Cahill is his second choice but isn’t willing to pay the £17 million asking price Bolton have put on his head, whilst Mertesacker and Dann are other options.
