da betobet: West Brom manager Roberto Di Matteo plans to heap more pressure on Manchester City when he takes his team to Eastlands this Saturday.
da poker: Roberto Mancini’s side have only won two of their last five English Premier League matches as their title push seems to be losing momentum.
And Di Matteo wants his Baggies side to further disrupt City’s campaign, although the Italian knows it will not be easy.
“They are a good team with dangerous players. If they miss one player then they have a quality replacement,” he said.
“But they have had a couple of results that didn’t go their way and we will try and put more pressure on them.”
City’s latest set-back came as they gave away a late penalty at St Andrews on Wednesday. While Birmingham may have been fortunate to get the spot-kick, Di Matteo feels West Brom have been on the end of their own rotten luck from officials this season.
“I wonder how everyone in the stand can see it is a penalty and they (the officials) can’t?” he said.
“Against Wigan and Blackburn there were handballs but he (the referee) saw it and did not give it.”
“It is obvious my voice is not heard like Sir Alex Ferguson’s but I am defending my team.”
“I made a call to the Professional Game Match Officials (PMGO) and made my thoughts known. They have agreed with me – If 25,000 fans can see it then we have a case.”
Scotland midfielder Graham Dorrans was described as ‘fatigued’ by Di Matteo and is doubtful for the clash in Manchester, while defensive duo Marek Cech (groin) and Gonzalo Jara (hamstring) could also miss out.
