da aposte e ganhe: Newcastle United have confirmed that loanee Hatem Ben Arfa sustained a broken left leg early on in the 2-1 defeat at Manchester City on Sunday.

A short statement from the Magpies read:"X-rays taken have confirmed that he has suffered a broken tibia and fibula of his left leg. He will undergo surgery on Monday morning.
"Everyone connected with the club sends Hatem their best wishes for a speedy recovery. At this stage no time limit has been put on his expected return date."
Manager Chris Hughton had expressed his unhappiness at the tackle which left Ben Arfa stricken.
He said:"Everyone will have their own opinion, but it was a tackle that did not need to be made.
"When something like that happens and then to have some incredible decisions go against us, it's hard to take."
However, City assistant coach Brian Kidd defended his player, adding:"Everybody knows Nigel and he is as honest as the day is long. It's so sad when you see that happen and we hope it is not too serious.
