da dobrowin: Kuyt was rumoured to be interesting Internazionale, who are now coached by former Reds boss Rafael Benitez.
However, the 30-year-old Netherlands international pledged his future to the Merseyside club after scoring a late winner in Thursday's Europa League play-off second leg victory over Trabzonspor.
The Reds won 2-1 on the night to seal their passage into the group stages by a 3-1 aggregate scoreline after an own goal from Remzi Kacar and Kuyt's strike in a late turnaround in Turkey.
"My future is at Liverpool. I have had four great years at the club," declared Kuyt.
"Unfortunately we have not won any trophies but hopefully I will in future.
"The point for me was that I am 30 years old and I wanted to know if there was any interest from any other club in the world.
"Liverpool spoke to me and explained everything. They said I was really important.
"That made me very proud and at that point I focused my thoughts on Liverpool."
Reds boss Roy Hodgson also reaffirmed his desire to keep Kuyt at Anfield, adding:"Dirk is a player who is an important part of Liverpool.
"I've made it clear we don't welcome any offers for him and he's not for sale.
"As far as I'm concerned he is someone I believe in, someone I count on, and it is important we improve the team around the Steven Gerrards, Fernando Torres's, Jose Reinas and the Kuyts and not sell them and start all over again."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
