da betobet: Everton captain Phil Jagielka has revealed that he is looking forward to the challenge of playing Europa League football during the 2017-18 campaign.
da winzada777: The Toffees secured a European spot after finishing seventh in the Premier League table last season, although they will have to come through a third qualifying round fixture and then a playoff to make the group stage.
The Merseyside outfit’s first leg of the third qualifying round will take place on July 27, before playing the reverse match on August 3, which comes just before the start of the new Premier League campaign.
Jagielka has said that Everton are “looking forward to” the test of qualifying for the Europa League, which now brings another route into the group stage of the Champions League.
Jagielka told Everton’s official website:
“There is going to be a key tie in pre-season that we hope to get through and then the journey and excitement begins.
“There will be long weeks playing a lot of games but, hopefully if we qualify, the manager can sort out his squad and decide what he going to do for each game. It’s another test for us but one we are looking forward to.”
Jagielka has represented Everton on two occasions in the Europa League, although the England centre-back has never been past the round of 16 with the Merseyside club.
The 34-year-old has made 349 appearances for the Toffees since a 2007 move from Sheffield United.
