da premier bet: Manchester City have revealed that Gabriel Jesus ‘suffered a medial collateral ligament injury’ in Sunday’s goalless draw with Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
da betsul: Jesus, 20, had to be substituted in the first half of the clash at Selhurst Park, and was in tears when he left the field.
The extent of the attacker’s injury was initially unclear, but Man City have now confirmed that ligament damage has occurred.
The Citizens have not placed a timeframe on Jesus’ absence as further examinations are needed to determine the best course of treatment for a player that has scored 10 times in 27 appearances for the Premier League’s outstanding team this season.
A statement on Man City’s official website read:
“Manchester City can confirm Gabriel Jesus suffered a medial collateral ligament injury during the 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday.
“He will undergo further examinations in the coming days to establish the extent of his lay-off. We wish Gabriel a speedy recovery and we will keep you updated on his progress via the club’s official channels.”
Jesus missed two months of last season with a fractured metatarsal, and is expected to be on the sidelines for at least the next 10 weeks in what is a bitter blow for Man City.
Pep Guardiola’s side will look to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they host Watford on Tuesday night.
